Lexus RX Headlight Restoration in Plano

These cloudy Lexus RX headlights had lost much of their clear finish. Our headlight restoration brought back their clean, bright look.
Years of sun and road use had left both headlights yellow and cloudy. The damage made the front of the Lexus look older and reduced the amount of light that could shine through the lenses.
The challenge
The cloudy layer was built into the outside surface of the lenses. A normal wash could remove dirt, but it could not remove the faded and damaged plastic.
Years of sun damage
The lenses needed to be restored evenly. Missing any cloudy spots would leave the headlights looking patchy once the work was finished.
The process
We cleaned the headlights and protected the paint around them. We then carefully sanded away the damaged outer layer and polished the lenses until they became clear again.
Bringing back the clarity
Each headlight was worked on in several steps. This slowly removed the yellow finish while leaving the lenses smooth, clear, and even.
The result
The headlights went from dull and cloudy to clean and clear. More of the light can now shine through, and the front of the Lexus looks much newer.
